At an American Idol viewing party last night in Glendale, two people who know her had some advice.
Bonnie Carver was Jordin's first grade teacher at Northwest Community Christian Academy. She hopes Jordin uses her singing talent as a ministry.
"You can be a light in many different areas and I think that she needs to follow God into which ever area is best," says Carver.
"She's so versatile and can be in so many genres that I would like to see her go in different directions."
Christina Carver says the person you see on TV is the real Jordin. "And just to see her be a witness for Christ in simple ways by how she treats other people, how she takes criticism. That's so amazing to watch."
