DUBLIN, Ohio (AP) - Wendy's restaurants has rolled out a new campaign on 1 of television's biggest stages.
The campaign -- built on the slogan "That's right" -- debuted in the finals of "American Idol" tonight.
The ads hark back to those used before the death of Wendy's founder Dave Thomas. They use humor to emphasize the restaurant's made-to-order food and unfrozen beef.
The campaign comes at a time of uncertainty for the chain that ranks behind McDonald's and Burger King with 6,300 stores in North America and 300 overseas.
Neither Wendy's nor the Fox show would disclose how much the ad costs. The "American Idol" finale has become the third-most watched show of the year after the Super Bowl and the Oscars.
