6 p.m. on ESPN: Baseball. The Red Sox play at fabled, storied Yankee Stadium. (The Sox are hoping to pad their division lead...and note that in the win column, the Yankees haven’t had much more success this year than have the Royals.)
7 p.m. on Fox: “American Idol.” We’ve seen it all on “Idol” this season...Antonella’s raunchy photos. Haley’s lanky legs. Sanjaya’s hair. But now TV’s biggest show celebrates its biggest night. The glitzy two-hour finale reunites the final 12 are the One is chosen.
8 p.m. on ABC: “Lost.” The third season finale (a two-hour episode titled “Through the Looking Glass”) follows a 7 p.m. rerun recap called “Lost: The Answers.” Get your “Lost” fix now; fresh episodes will be lost until next February.
8 p.m. on A&E: “A Few Good Men.” The truth? The truth? Can you handle the truth? If so, take another look at Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise and Demi Moore in this 1992 modern classic.
8 p.m. on Hallmark: “Married in America 2.” Filmmaker Michael Apted offers a warts-and-all follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2002 documentary, “Married in America.” The project began in 2001, when Apted interviewed nine American couples as they prepared to tie the knot. For the sequel five years later, he checked back with them for a progress (or damage) report: Can the American marriage withstand the test of time?
