It's finally come! The "American Idol" showdown takes place tonight at 8 on Fox, followed by a two-hour results show Wednesday at 8.
So who will take home the season six "Idol"crown? The Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles is set for two hopefuls -- 17-year-old Jordin Sparks of Glendale, Ariz., and Blake Lewis, 25, of Bothell, Wash.
Both Lewis and Sparks have been judge favorites with a variety of performances.
Sparks, known for her youth, vocal range and ability to show the emotion of her songs, has suffered few let-downs with judges Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell.
Lewis, also often applauded by the trio, has been tagged for his originality , fashion sense and outgoing personality.
Fans have their preferences -- in some cases for contestants who have already left the competition.
Elena Gerber, a freshman at Montclair State University, was crushed when Chris Richardson was voted off during the May 2 round.
"I don't think the talent got good until they got to the end." Gerber said. "I think they've been better in the past."
Nicole Lombardi, a senior at Parsippany Hills High School, disagreed.
"I've liked Simon's opinions throughout the show, and I feel as though the people left are good competition because they are young and have nice talent."
Michelle Wortman, also a Parsippany Hills senior, was sorry to see Richardson leave.
"I was really disappointed that Chris got voted off, and I watch, but ever since I haven't voted."
Wortman, however, is rooting for Sparks.
Tune in tonight when the Lewis-Sparks duo takes the stage for the final time to perform before millions in hopes of becoming the newest "American Idol."
