Eating candy is good for you -- if you're an "American Idol" fan. Six-year-old Paige Kettren of Bay Village entered Nestles' Willie Wonka Golden Ticket Sweepstakes and won a trip to the finals.
Paige and her mom Patty will jet out to the West Coast and stay at the posh Le Meridien hotel in Beverly Hills, then motor to the Kodak Theater in Hollywood to attend both the Tuesday and Wednesday night broadcasts of "American Idol."
Melinda Doolittle, Paige's favorite, was eliminated last week. "She was crushed," her mother reports. Now, the Normandy School kindergartner isn't sure whether to thrown her support behind 17-year-old Jordin Sparks or Blake Lewis, 25.
Still, she answered the most important question: what to wear. Paige scored three Cinderella dresses -- marked down 75 percent! -- at Dillards. "She looks like a movie star," says Patty.
Though backstage passes aren't included in the deal, Paige will be armed with bouquets of lollipops in case she runs into any of the 12 contestants during the two-day extravaganza.
And what would she sing if she were on the AI stage? "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," she says.
