THIS IS "American Idol" -- the live blog! OK, imagine that in Ryan's voice. Welcome to the blog. For this very special occasion, Ryan's all spiffed up in a three-piece pin-striped suit. Simon's showing his man cleavage. Randy's wearing, uh, what is that? And Paula, fresh from her nose-breaking episode -- she tripped over her dog, dontchaknow -- has brand, spanking new hair extensions!
So the show's just started, and already Ryan has already made a double entendre joke about Paula's female dog. And we've revisited the rain-soaked, talent-challenged Seattle auditions. I was there covering it, and can testify that yes, it was so wet I thought I spotted Noah lining animals up two-by-two; and that Jordin, who I met briefly after she'd found out she'd made the first cut, is very tall, very cute and, based on our five-minute conversation, very sweet.
