“AI” – I think at one point Paula said Jordin was “in good vocal voice.” It never gets old. I guess that broken nose could be getting to her. To her brain, that is.
Like everyone else, I think it’s Jordin’s to win, although Blake must have some serious voter support to make it this far. And I’ll tell you what never gets old: Looking at Jordin stand side-by-side with Ryan Seacrest. He looks like her 8-year-old kid. And I don’t really think doing Christina Aguilera songs are good for anyone – it’s sort of the equivalent of trying a Joe Satriani solo on a guitar playing competitive reality show, if such a thing existed.
“DwtS” – Apolo winning isn’t much of a shock, but I think it may be the first time the legitimately best person won since the first season. I liked Emmitt a lot last year, but Mario was probably just a little bit more nimble. And Drew Lachey was good, but Stacy Keibler was obviously a better dancer (even if she screwed up by doing a boring freestyle, a la Laila Ali). Apolo and Julianne’s freestyle was one of the best yet, and just totally fun. Not to mention that they are both completely adorable!
Really, though, all three were solid, and probably the most talented top three yet, which makes up (sorta) for a kind of boring season.
