Admittedly, I was hoping that Blake would be going home tonight. After all, he had the nerve to wear that stupid tuxedo shirt. If that's not asking to be sent home, I don't know what is.
At least it was better than Barry Gibb's wardrobe. Didn't anyone warn him about those stage lights? No one wants to see an old man's nipples but there they were. Yikes.
So after 50 minutes of filler, we get the results. Jordin safe. Melinda safe. No surprise there. But it was still sad to see Kiki go. She didn't have too many moments of sheer inspiration but when she was on, she was very on. I hope for nothing but good things for her. It's clear she hasn't led a life of privilege and I give her credit for continuing to pursue her dreams in the face of adversity. Here's hoping that she doesn't have to go back to her bank teller position. She shouldn't have to, though. I think with the right producer and the right vision, she could be a force to be reckoned with in the music world.
Best of luck to you, Kiki! And for the remaining three, my prediction is that Blake will have little chance against Melinda and Jordin. They would have to have a major mistep and he would have to have one of those "wow" moments in order to reverse his fortunes. My vote for who will win is still up in the air, but I'm counting on a woman to be standing when the dust settles.
